Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge
The Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge is the longest freestanding timberframe bridge in Canada. Built in 2001 from locally sourced timbers, and with Swiss design reflecting the heritage of the Swiss Guides in Golden, the bridge spans the Kicking Horse River in downtown Golden. Cyclists and walkers cross continously, and in the summer rafts pass underneath on the final stretch of their thrilling whitewater rafting trip.
