The Canadian Pacific Railway has a deep history in the town of Golden, British Columbia. After all, this was the hub for Canadian Pacific workers as they constructed the railroad through the treacherous Rogers Pass pressing forward to the west coast. The difficulty of construction through the pass required Canadian Pacific to hire and import Swiss Guides to this region to assist in the navigation and safety of the railway and it’s workers.
