Fall in Golden

Fall activities and attractions in Golden

Golden is an inspiring place as green turns orange and gold and gradually gathers a winter coat of white on the mountains. Hiking, biking, and visiting nearby National Parks or the Columbia Wetlands are great ways to experience fall.

You can visit Kicking Horse Mountain Resort for fall activities: see Boo the Grizzly at the Grizzly Bear Refuge, enjoy their biking trails, and dine in their restaurant at the top of the mountain until late September. The Golden Skybridge, too, typically stays open until the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.

Fall is a great time for trail running and other cross-seasonal training. At the end of September, runners arrive in Golden from all over the world to challenge themselves in the Golden Ultra.
